Green Commitment

As Atlantic Canadians, we take pride in our clean and beautiful natural environment. As a company, we strive to minimize our carbon footprint and exert our best efforts to conserve our region’s natural beauty and resources.

At Atlantic Windows, we view “being green” as a state of mind. We are environmentally conscious, following the mantra of the “Three Rs” to reduce, reuse, and recycle at all levels of our operation. Although far from perfect, we strive to repurpose leftover materials and make every possible effort to reduce our energy consumption.

Our aim is to be as efficient as possible. Emissions are reduced with efficiency policies within our transportation division, smart controls for lighting and the use of rechargeable batteries. Water to wash our glass is retreated and reused rather than using fresh water every cycle. Cardboard, PVC, paper, aluminum, steel, and glass are sent to facilities where they are reused for a variety of purposes such as PVC pipe and metal components or repurposed as fuel for heat, material for sand blasting, to functioning as substrates in cement.

This results in over 1,400,000 pounds of repurposed material being diverted from landfills annually!
